Cyndee Woolley of C2 Communications Wins Local FPRA Image AwardCyndee Woolley, APR, of C2 Communications was awarded an Image Award from the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association at the Chapter’s 2010 Local Image Awards banquet on April 14, 2010. Woolley’s award-winning campaign, titled “Tweet Town Hall,” utilized social media technology to connect and engage south Florida citizens and federal partners in a productive dialogue about the 2009 healthcare legislation that was being discussed in the U.S. House of Representatives. In partnership with Representative Matt Hudson, District 101, the Naples Daily News, the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, and Digital Response Marketing Group, this revolutionary meeting aided in the creation of meaningful public policy, and transcended the communication boundaries of traditional town hall meetings. Locally, this was a first-of-its-kind town hall meeting. The 2010 Local Image Awards banquet was held in Fort Myers and recognized the best public relations, communications and marketing efforts in Southwest Florida during the past year. The competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs, and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in Southwest Florida. Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design. A Naples native, Woolley has 10 years of experience in marketing, public relations, branding, and social media.
