PRSA Sunshine District Announces 2010 Board of DirectorsThe Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Sunshine District announces the election of its 2010 officers. The Sunshine District is comprised of seven chapters throughout the state of Florida. CHAIR - Lorelie Johnson, APR (Orlando Regional Chapter) Johnson is the Corporate Manager of Public Affairs and Communications for Bright House Networks. She has been an active member of PRSA since 2001 and has served as President of the Orlando Regional Chapter. In addition to PRSA, Johnson is also a member of the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC). Johnson has her degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Journalism from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She volunteers for Orange County Public Schools and The Salvation Army in Orlando. She is a member of The Salvation Army Advisory Board and works to support the Women and Children’s Shelter by being involved with the Women’s Auxiliary. CHAIR-ELECT - Georgina Gonzalez-Robiou, APR (Miami Chapter) Georgina Gonzalez-Robiou, APR, is the corporate manager of Hispanic marketing for Baptist Health South Florida. She is responsible for executing Baptist Health’s Hispanic marketing and communications outreach. She also provides strategic counsel for branding and community relations endeavors. Gonzalez-Robiou has held various leadership positions within PRSA; most notably she is past president of the PRSA Miami chapter. She currently serves as an assembly delegate for the PRSA Miami chapter and served as chair of the 2008 Sunshine District Conference. She has been a member of the American Heart Association (AHA) community board and was appointed to the serve on the national AHA Women and Minorities Leadership committee. She received her Bachelor in Arts and Sciences from the School of Political Science at Florida International University, graduating Cum Laude. SECRETARY - Diane Jones, APR (Tampa Bay Chapter) Jones is a public relations and marketing professional with nearly 15 years of experience in both the private sector and local government. She is currently the President of her own company, DJ Public Relations, Inc., headquartered in the Tampa Bay area. Jones has been an active member of PRSA nearly her whole career, having served the Tampa Bay Chapter as President, President-Elect, and Treasurer. She is currently an active Board Member of the Chapter. She has also volunteered as the Publicity Chair for the past two years for the Cattle Barons’ Ball to benefit the Greater Tampa Unit of the American Cancer Society. Jones has a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of South Florida. TREASURER - Cyndee Woolley, APR (Gulf Coast Chapter) Woolley is the owner of C2 Communications, a public relations, marketing and social media firm based in Southwest Florida. Woolley believes in giving back to the community and has served as a past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of PRSA and is the founder of Coffee & Social Media club. She is a member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, where she recently taught a series of social media courses.
