Good Viral Marketing Examples

At a recent PRACC Workshop, Peter Shankman gave some great examples of viral marketing and told the audience:

"You can't make viral... You can make good."

It is a simple statement that is so true. If a video is too scripted...
too contrived...
too *blech*...
too sales-y...
people are going to resist it instead of embracing it.

We are inundated with information from multiple angles. When you open up that video, it has to catch you. It has to touch you on a human level...
make you laugh...
make you feel good...
tell a story...
make you say WOW!

The best part is that you've probably seen these viral marketing examples and they touched you... but they didn't 'feel' like marketing.

Do you know "Where the hell is Matt?"






And did you know it was all a hoax?



...or was it?




Have you seen the Kings Firecrackers?






Even one woman who has never been kissed...
can be an international star.
