From Recession to Recognition
When the 2008 recession hit, Cyndee Woolley didn’t retreat—she reinvented. With over a decade of marketing and PR experience under her belt, she took the leap and launched her own firm, C2 Communications. What began as a personal pivot quickly evolved into a mission to help businesses tell their stories, connect authentically, and thrive.
A Strategic Approach to Communication
Cyndee’s approach has always been rooted in strategy. Whether working with government entities or private companies, she focuses first on goals: Are they trying to raise awareness? Drive sales? Influence a vote? Once those objectives are clear, she builds integrated campaigns that combine PR, marketing, and social media into a cohesive strategy.
She’s seen trends come and go—but she remains committed to what works: clear messaging, audience-first thinking, and smart use of tools. Today, that includes leveraging AI to customize and scale communications without losing the human touch.
Leading Through Change
Cyndee shared how COVID-19 accelerated her shift into remote work and global markets. One standout example? Supporting an Australian tech company’s U.S. expansion right as live events shut down worldwide. Thanks to her adaptability, she helped transform their platform to support virtual events, turning a crisis into an opportunity.
Her insights go beyond business tactics. As a single mom with a strong sense of purpose, Cyndee built her brand with authenticity, knowing that preparation and storytelling would be key to success. “Build your brand before you need it,” she says—a lesson that’s shaped her career and her clients’ wins.
Looking Ahead
Cyndee is now planning the next evolution of her own podcast, “Cutting Through the Clutter”, and preparing to release a new book in 2026. This follow-up to her original work, Building Brand You, will focus on helping professionals stay relevant in an AI-driven world.
