The Collier County Clerk of the Court’s Office is pleased to share that its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended September 2023 has again received the prestigious Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
“This is the 37th consecutive year that our office earned recognition for our transparency and full disclosure of financial statements within the County,” said Collier County Clerk Crystal K. Kinzel. “I thank our staff for all their hard work in putting this together and ensuring that our financial reports meet the criteria for excellence.”
The award represents a significant achievement by the Collier County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office and is a testament to their commitment to transparency and accountability. It reflects the governing body and staff’s dedication to meeting the highest principles of governmental financial reports. The FY 2024 Collier County ACFR is available at collierclerk.com/finance/reports/acfr/ for the community to review and take pride in.
The ACFR is not just a report but a crucial tool for understanding and evaluating the financial health of our County. It is the official report of County financial statements in compliance with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements. It contains an independent auditor’s report by certified public accountant Clifton Larson Allen, LLP, and a financial section with a narrative overview and analysis of Collier County’s revenues, expenditures, investments, changes in fund balance, and cash flows.
